Defense characteristics
Each defense unit has certain Characteristics, they determine how powerful, resilient, etc. it is as compared to another one. Here is a list, with brief explanations, of all defense unit Characteristics:
- Attack – this is the amount of damage the defense unit deals (note that this is a base value and doesn’t represent bonuses);
- Life – this is the amount of damage that the defense unit can withstand before being destroyed (note that this is a base value and doesn’t represent bonuses);
- Weapon type – this is the type of weapon the defense unit uses, the three types are: Laser, Ion and Plasma. Different weapons act differently on different armor types. See (Defense weapons);
- Armor type – this is the type of armor the defense unit uses, the four types are: Light, Normal, Heavy and Solid. Different weapons act differently on different armor types. See (Defense armors);
- Armor power – this number shows what percentage of the damage received will be deflected by the armor (Note that this is a base value and doesn’t represent any bonuses or reductions);
- Population – this shows how much space, in the Hangars/ Vault/ Nesting grounds, each defense unit requires in order to be built;
- Metal cost – the amount of Metal needed to construct one unit of this type of defense;
- Minerals cost – the amount of Minerals needed to construct one unit of this type of defense;
- Gas cost – the amount of Gas needed to construct one unit of this type of defense.
